ModUnlock Flash TF80 Transmission Tuning: make the gearbox work for the car, not against it

The Aisin TF-80SC is a strong six-speed, but factory calibrations are a compromise written for one market, one driving style. ModUnlock TCM tuning lets you reshape how the gearbox behaves, so it suits you and the engine it’s paired with and the roads it’s driven on.

Some of What can be changed

• Shift points and shift scheduling. Upshift and downshift points can be moved for each gear and driving mode. That means holding gears for performance, or settling into top gear sooner at your market’s typical cruising speeds.

• Gear hunting. If a vehicle keeps flicking between two gears at a common road speed, the gap between the upshift and downshift lines can be widened so the box picks a gear and stays in it.

• Torque converter lock-up (TCC). You can set when the converter locks, in which gears, and how firmly. On diesels, that stops the frequent lock/unlock cycling at low speed. On petrols, it reduces excessive converter slip, which means less heat, less wear and a more direct feel.

• Shift quality and speed. Shift timing and pressure can be adjusted for quicker, crisper changes or for smoother, more refined ones.

• Kickdown and throttle response. You can choose how readily the gearbox downshifts when you press the accelerator, so overtaking response is sharper without being jumpy
• Manual Mode Kick Down disable this alows the gearbox to stay in the gear you selected either with manual sifting or flappy paddle, once a gear is chosen it will stay in that gear no matter how hard you mash the thottle (auto shift at very low / high RPM is still enabled)

• Matched to engine tuning. When the engine has been tuned, shift behaviour and torque handling can be recalibrated to match the extra output.
